1978 Schwinn Scrambler Vintage BMX Stingray Good Original Condition
This is a nice condition 1978 Schwinn Scrambler early BMX bike with gold rims. The bike appears to be in original condition with the exception of the chain which is actually a link to long. The paint is in pretty good shape for its age, there are scrapes but no dings or gouges in the frame. The Schwinn Scrambler tires are in great shape and not rotten or cracked. The banana seat has had a tear repaired but it was done well (see photo). There is also a scrape in the seat but overall it's in good shape. The Schwinn Sting Ray plate on the back of the seat is intact. The grips are in good shape except for the typical holes on the sides where the handlebars have cut through.
The bike is rideable as is but really should be cleaned and re-greased. All in all this is a great piece of BMX history and it appears to have been cared for. The serial number is GP50333.
